Earlier this year, we held a Mini Olympic Competition.
I am still amazed at how many of the children performed so well!
The gymnasts trained for an hour with no real previous experience of gymnastics and within a few weeks of practicing routines, they showed their routines to the judges and parents.
While watching the gymnasts during their performances, I was reminded of how the children put the effort into making the event a successful one.
- Discipline
It is amazing that from zero, they became STARS in just a few weeks! With proper discipline during the sessions and their own personal life, it is great to see that discipline is being instilled in the little gymnasts. Having discipline is one of the skills that will definitely help them reach what they wanted to be when they grow up. - Self-Confidence
Some children are just so shy when they entered the gymnastics classes. Thankfully, their confidence grew as they learned how to properly execute the routines. Gymnastics help children believe in themselves and this is also true with the little gymnasts that we met last Mini Olympic Competition. But in the end, I’m glad that they started to believe that they can do amazing things and that they are awesome! - Motivation
A child’s greatest motivation is being seen by their parents perform. To the parents of the gymnasts, we salute you for being there during gym classes and supporting your child all throughout. They succeeded because of your love and dedication. You helped strengthen not only their physical bodies, but their hearts and minds as well.
It really is indeed a great joy to be reminded of the Mini Olympics Competition. Here’s a video of the event because sometimes, a video is better than pictures. Enjoy watching!
